A lot has happened since yesterday. I can’t even begin to describe what it is. It is a very melancholy day. But still trying to hold myself together.
Day 23: Hope
Just going through the old pictures and I found this picture from the cave. I went there with him the second night I came here. It was a magical night. I took this picture from the cave where we were just sitting, talking and drinking.
I lost everything again. This time I don’t know if I will manage to get up.
But like in this picture, the moon will shine through the darkness. Memories will keep me alive, I Hope!
It’s raining today and quite cold. One more family dinner coming up. But I am not gonna dwell on that.
Day 22: Three things
There are three things that made me happy today.
First I woke up to find this outside of the house. Little sister drew a heart and put bf’s and my names on it. It was a cute gesture.
Second we went to the store to buy more gifts. We went to a bookstore and I found a book by a Japanese author I really wanted to read a friend of mine gave a raving review about the author. So, I had to buy it. I am really looking forward to reading it.
Last and the most hilarious one was finding this puzzle game with Shahrukh Khan, a bollywood actor on it. I just burst into laughter when I saw it. Bollywood bollywood everywhere.
It’s one of those days when you don’t know what is going on with people around you but something is not right. But you can do nothing about it. You get carried away with their feelings yet it seems like it’s your fault somehow. I am trying not to be affected by other people’s PMS but it seems difficult when you are in the same sphere. After all these social humdrum for so many days now, I long for some quiet time in my room. I miss the routine I had managed to make and the music. Nevertheless I am still trying to soak into good vibes because I really like these people, they are really nice.
Day 21: The Walk
The highlight of the day was the walk I had with bf n little sister to Kalvøya. It is a small island in Bærum kommune, the place where my boyfriend’s family live. It was late evening and the light of dusk was beautiful shades of orange and purple. The two of them were running around, jumping, climbing and having fun in general. I was just soaking into the moment and taking pictures.
The walk ended up with the quick detour to Café for a cup of hot chocolate with cream on top. Little sister loved it. I loved how the color of the pictures turned out to be. My favorite one among these pictures is the picture of the bridge.
Christmas fun is over. I met a lot of family members and it was a nice time to bond. There has been so many happy moments and it was difficult to choose the one to post. But here it is, the happiest one. 😊
Day 20: Cool party, cool people n a cool wefie
Little sister is so cool. She’s like a friend to me and we are laughing so much when we are together. He’s cool too. Together they make a cool siblings. I was a bit stressed out yesterday but they eased me down.
I was telling little sister that we should take a selfie after we are all dressed up for the late Christmas party. But I figured out that the large glass windows made cool reflections. So, I decided to take a reflection wefie with the cool siblings. Oh I love these beautiful people. They make my life so happy.
This is going to be very quick post. I am in the middle of another party. But I have to keep my promise.
Day 19: Waking up to a snowy wonderland
So, the reason for my happiness today is this!
It was all green and sunny here. There was a rumor of snow. But we were scared if it’s gonna be no snow at all. Finally it did snow.
When I woke up this morning , the whole place looked like beautiful white paradise. I was so happy. We came to his mother’s house yesterday. So, I got to meet my soulmate: his mother and laughing partner: little sister.
We went on a walk through the snowy forest for a quick visit to the store with little sister. It was so much fun.
So, world around me is beautiful white and we are still celebrating Christmas. 😊 happiness overload!
It’s funny because I am in the middle of a very social gathering. The Christmas dinner at his stepfather’s stepmother’s family. It’s nice, posh and getting more informal with each glass of wine. But that’s how it is. People lose their inhibition and become more open.
Day 18: For new bonds
It was a nice time at his father’s home. And I got a chance to discover them and to bond with his father’s family. They visited us in tromsø in summer but it was short. But this time we spent three days there so, we got ample chance to know and bond with them.
I had a great time. His father is a very wonderful person, very open and intelligent. I had a very special bond with his little sister. We don’t understand each other’s language but we had a beautiful non-verbal communication. She tried to learn English and I tried talk to her in Norwegian but we ended up smiling and just giggling at each other. But we still managed to have a rather special bond.
The first picture is him playing with his little sister. It was a beautiful moment I managed to capture.
The second picture is of this ‘Frozen’ coloring roll she got as a Christmas present. We helped her color it and it was a fun time. Ya, and I taught her to say Fun. She’s the cutest. Come to think of it, you actually bond with people in many levels. And it really doesn’t matter if you know the language or not. My bond with the little sister is a perfect example of it. But still I would love to learn Norwegian and speak to her. So, the picture today is for the new beautiful bond I managed to build. 😊
It’s been very hectic day. We celebrated Christmas eve with his father’s family. It was cozy and quiet. The Christmas dinner was amazing. I got to try some delicious norwegian Christmas food. I am not much of a fan of meat nowadays but all in all it was good.
Gift exchange was nice. I like the gesture more than the gift itself. And it is very much fun for kids. They love getting and opening gifts. So, little sister was ecstatic. She is one of the calmest kids I have ever seen. Her parents travel around with her and she doesn’t make a fuss. Very easygoing and happy kid. But festivals are always more fun for kids.
Day 17: He knows me the Best!
I got another cool gift. He is so good at finding what I like. I wanted a book that I could read a page or two every morning. It is an awesome compilation of quotes and instances that define nerd culture. It has a quote -a page ranging from Sheldon Cooper to Issac Asimov. It’s exactly the book I was looking for. That’s the snapchat picture. Happy! 😊
I am at his father’s home now. It’s nice Christmasy vibe here. It’s really cozy and festive. His cute little sister is the one having the most fun. I have not been able to communicate much with her but we smile at each other. She tries to speak to me in Norwegian which I don’t understand that much but we have fun anyways.
Day 16: Julenissen comes to visit
Oh Julenissen (Santa Claus) came to visit with lots of gift for the little one. She was so happy and bewildered at the same time. Everybody was happy to see her happy.
Later when he was gone, she was so excited to open the gifts. Bf was sitting next to her helping her open the gifts. It was a beautiful moment.
This picture is when Julenissen was giving presents to the little one. Oh I am having fun! 😊
I am here in South of Norway. I met him after three weeks and it was beautiful. I had missed him. In the train to Oslo right now. It’s quite a hectic day buying gifts and all.
Day 15: How good it is to see the sun!
I finally got to see the sun and it felt so nice. These days without sun have been very difficult. But it was worth the wait even though it was far off in the horizon. So, here’s a picture of sun after all those days posting and whining about dark polar nights. Happiness reloaded! 😊
I am waiting for the bus to the airport. Still 15 more minutes to go so, I thought about getting this post done. It’s been a very busy day today. I packed and repacked. There was so much to do. All the packages I ordered online arrived and I had to go collect them. So, walking back and forth it was quite hectic.
Day 14: Feels like going home
It’s snowy and quite a bleak day today. But I am happy I am going down south. I get to see the sun at least. It will also be nice to see him. I am actually looking forward to meeting my soulmate and laughing partner: Mama and Little sister.
But here’s to the short goodbye and going home. A picture from this afternoon while I was going to collect the packages. I will be posting from South from tomorrow. Excited!!😊
